I can safely say I have learnt more in one year with Simply Music than three years with other teachers. I just want to keep playing.

Georgia and Simply Music have given our family a most rewarding time as we watch the boys develop their piano playing skills. This course has given
us such satisfaction and I love playing alongside my boys as we learn.

My son has been learning Simply Music for some time now, and has recently taken up the cello at school... Simply Music has given him the confidence
to experiment with music, to try new things to create, which I doubt he would otherwise have.

The need for learning music appeared to me in my mature age. Simply Music makes the learning process exceptionally easy, almost effortless. Every
week I wait in anticipation for my next class, so I can learn more and more.

continued with great pleasure and enjoyment.

I like this way of learning because you can start playing songs straight away, and you can play on any ones' piano, without the need for a music
book. I like working in a group because the others can help you, its' much more fun, and you get used to playing in front of others.

SHARED LESSONS
Sharing your piano lesson with others may seem like an unusual thing to do, but because of the unique nature of the Simply Music program, it lends
itself wonderfully well to a group environment.
Level 1 consists of 10 pieces that cover classics, blues, accompaniment and ballads. During the lessons each component of the piece is firstly broken down, learnt away from the piano and processed into the hands. Everyone has a chance to play on the piano, and most learning is done through observing the teacher and other students. As we move through the pieces you will learn many "tools" that you can use to help you learn other songs. Level 1 takes approximately 12 -15 lessons to complete. This varies depending on the age of the students and the time of year you begin lessons. For example in term 4 we usually introduce Christmas Carols into the program.
Lessons are conducted once a week throughout the school term using an upright Yamaha piano. There is also a digital piano, and we use keypads to help orientate ourselves on the piano keyboard. With students under age 15, parents need to be present at the lesson and are strongly encouraged to learn at least the 10 level 1 pieces. This helps the parent understand how the method works, what it feels like to be a student and be able to help their child with practice at home. It also creates a great bonding experience. There are not many music lessons out there, where the parent can learn alongside their child. The lesson time will be the same every week during the school term. Most classes run between 30 and 45 minutes depending on how many are in the lesson.
